We received our first snow fall of this winter two day's ago and the neighborhood children have been enjoying the outdoor sport of riding sleds down the hills and also being pulled behind ATV's. My grandson went for quite a ride behind the ATV the day of the heavy snow fall. With an accumulation of over six inches of wet, heavy snow this made for a great day of outdoor sport being pulled behind the ATV while he rode on a round plastic "saucer" made for riding down snowy hills. Many of the kids were enjoying this outdoor sport as well as all over the neighborhood parents were pulling the kids around on the streets and up hills so the children could then ride down to the bottom on the saucers, sleds, and two man toboggans. The outdoor sport of sled riding continued today as school was canceled due to the snow. Many snowmen have popped up in the neighborhood and with the call for more snow on Christmas day the children will be enjoying this fun outdoor sport again in the fresh snow.
