Safeguarding Valuables with a Computer Backpack |

A computer backpack is more then just a place to keep a laptop safe for me. When I was younger, around 19 years old, I ended up in a motorcycle accident on the Arizona freeways. It was low speed. I escaped without injury apart from some road rash on the shoulder because of the riding gear I was wearing and a laptop backpack. It sounds crazy but the computer backpack acted as a shield from the pavement. With a couple holes and some discolored worn spots the computer backpack was intact. I still use it today. There was not a laptop in it at the time of the spill but there were school notebooks, paper and a couple English journals. Those combined with the backpack cloth protected my back from any kind of scrapes or bruises. It was really something, I couldn’t believe it myself.
After the wreck, the computer backpack was the perfect place to throw in the salvageable motorcycle parts left strewn across the freeway. Such a bag will safeguard a laptop but will also in my case help protect the body. After that it was a habit to throw on a backpack before riding even when I wasn’t going to school.
