Last week marked the first time I have taken my laptop computer with me on a hiking trip into the mountains. It wasn't for fun either. I had a trip planned with a couple of friends of mine to go hiking into the mountains for a three day trip. It was just to basically get away for a few days, do some fishing, and enjoy our favorite outdoor sport. But, I had work to do. Instead of staying at home and missing the planned trip, I bought a laptop backpack and took off.

It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. The laptop backpack could actually hold a few more items, so I stuffed it with my computer, extra battery, and a bunch of clothes. Once we got to the camping spot, I put up my Coleman tent, stowed the gear, and we all went to tackle the river for some rainbows for dinner. A few hours later we were all back at the campsite with a fire going and dinner cooking. Once we were all ready to turn in for the night I got my computer out of the laptop backpack and worked on some reports I had to write. It took a few hours, and I was able to enjoy the rest of the hiking trip.
