Battery Power for Camping Hiking Makes It Easier in the Great Outdoors |

One of our favorite outdoor sports is camping hiking and we have found that having the right equipment for the outdoor sport of camping makes a big difference in our ability to enjoy ourselves with the ordinary tasks of camping hiking, like cooking, cleaning up, and keeping a tidy campsite. When I was shopping online yesterday I ran across this 12 volt battery that we can hook our little refrigerator up to so we don't have to worry about bringing a lot of ice along to keep the food cold. I thought it was a great thing to have, not only for outdoor sports, but also at home when the power goes out. We can put our critical food in the 12 volt refrigerator and not worry about spoilage.
It's called the Eureka E! Power Pak and once charged up, it'll power small appliances or devices that require electricity. It reaches a full charge in the car in about two hours, and since we go somewhere in the car everyday when we're camping hiking, we can keep the food in the refrigerator cold. This has an LED read out that tells us the status of the battery, too, so when it gets low, we can unplug the camping refrigerator, plug this one into our 12 volt outlet in the car, and go somewhere to charge it right back up.
I found it at All Star Sports Outlet located at http://www.allstarsportsoutlet.com, a fun site with a lot of products that make outdoor sports and camping hiking more enjoyable. They also have a lot of home entertainment devices like TVs and even GPS navigation, something that is at the top of our list for buying this year that would make camping hiking easier. If we had a navigation unit, it would be so much easier to find places whether we're out camping or just driving around in town discovering new places.
This weekend we had company from out of town and they had their GPS unit with them. It was so much easier for them to find our place and we didn't even have to go through the process of giving them detailed directions on how to find the house. The weather was glorious so we took them to the lake where we did some hiking and they loved the views and the warm sunshine. They weren't here long enough for us to take them camping hiking, otherwise we would have pitched our tents at the lake and enjoyed the weekend.
