There are so many splendid places that I have penned into my agenda for forthcoming outdoor sport camping trips that I am just giddy with anticipation. There are a few places up north that my brothers and I are eyeing and a few outdoor sport camping trips spots that are in the southern portion of the state that are just great for outdoor sport camping trips and having a blast! There are several factors that equate into such trips for us: things like the outdoor sport camping trips spots have to offer great hiking trails, good fishing spots and some climbing so we can really make the most of our trips. So far we have several planned outdoor sport camping trips adventures in the works, and I have all of my gear ready and I am seriously looking forwards to escaping the city for a change and getting away from it all for a few days over the months to come!

Perfect Weather Station for Camping Hiking and Home, Too

http://www.campinghikinggearblog.com/2010/April/Perfect-Weather-Station-for-Camping-Hiking-and-Home-Too.htm

Right now I'm halfway through reading the book, A Perfect Storm, and I think that I want to arm myself with a digital thermometer so I know the weather conditions all the time. We do a lot of camping and it would be good to know what the weather conditions are so we could make better decisions about how long a bike ride to take or how many miles to hike. We love outdoor sports and most of the time the weather is pretty easy to predict, but during the summer when we do a lot of camping hiking, thunderstorms develop almost every day and while they are hit and miss, I think that more information is better.

I found the Acu-Rite Wireless Weather Station and Atomic Clock with Sensor online today and thought it would be really useful for letting us know what the weather conditions are when we're camping hiking in the woods. This unit uses the atomic clock and radio signals to connect with the weather service, and will tell us what the time is, the temperature, humidity, air pressure, and whether it's falling, rising, or staying the same. That's the most important factor in knowing if the clouds passing by are harbingers of storms to come, and it will help us decide if we should head out on a long hike or stay put.

The one thing I'm learning from A Perfect Storm is how important it is to keep an eye on the barometric pressure to stay on top of the weather. We watched the movie and it was so good I decided to read the book, and there is so much information in it about the weather, so when we were talking about going camping hiking in June and July over dinner last night, I decided that I'd look for a good weather forecasting product to take along with us.

I found this at All Star Sports Outlet located at http://www.allstarsportsoutlet.com, a website with a lot of products for camping hiking, outdoor sports, and more. Since this weather station is battery operated and uses a radio signal, I know it will work even in the most remote spots where we go camping hiking. We spend a lot of time in the mountains of Arizona in the summer and when the monsoon starts, the weather can be unpredictable, especially in the mid to late afternoons. It will be good to know what's coming across the ridge that we can't see because of all the trees.

We can also use this at home. It has a remote sending unit so we can have the main unit in the house and put the other one out on the patio so we know just how hot it is outdoors and how much more comfortable the indoor temperatures are. So not only is this weather forecast center a great thing for camping hiking, it's also going to be really handy to know what's going on with the weather when we're at home, too.

Camping Hiking During Harvest Moon a Memorable Experience

http://www.campinghikinggearblog.com/2010/April/Camping-Hiking-During-Harvest-Moon-a-Memorable-Experience.htm

One of the most enjoyable aspects about going camping hiking for a weekend is the night sky with a campfire blazing away. We don't plan our camping hiking trips around the moon, but it's always nice when the it's full or nearly there because it illuminates our campsite so nicely and watching it crawl through the sky is a fantastic experience. We can even hike later in the day when the moon is full or nearly so and we love listening to the night animal noises, too, far from our campsite. We especially love listening to the coyotes howl when night is falling, whether we're sitting around the campfire or on a trail.

We go camping hiking fairly often all year long and our favorite time to be out is during the harvest moon in September. We head to the mountains to enjoy it because it is so stunning. It looks huge and golden and it's like looking at the sun only at night. We try to choose a campsite that will give us a full view of the moon as it rises, minus any trees so we enjoy the moon's rise in the east. We even record it with our digital camera so we have memories of our camping hiking experience during this wonderful time of year to be out under the stars.

Every summer since I was eight years old, my father and I would go fishing at our local lake. Our shared passion for fishing would always allow us to spend some quality time together. My father and I just returned from our last excursion and we had a blast! I simply could not have prepared for our vacation without the help of my favorite online superstore.

The week before our fishing trip, I sat down at my computer to browse an online superstore for everything my father and I would need to be comfortable on our vacation. I am so glad that I did! The online superstore had an incredibly extensive inventory! In only a matter of about fifteen minutes, I was able to find and purchase everything I was looking for!

All of my preferred outdoor sport accessories arrived safely at my home the week before our trip! I am definitely going to continue to shop at my handy online superstore for all of my outdoor sport needs in the future!

And this time my wife and my buddies and I will be heading up north in Arizona—where the beauty and the splendor of the Tonto National Forest await our next great camping hiking adventure! We have our date all set in place, and as per my usual routine, I have been going through all of my camping hiking gear to assure that everything is in order. Last time I was really thankful that I had checked everything over, because I need some more propane camping hiking cooking fuel and some new batteries, which I was able to easily order online prior to my planned trip. This time around, everything looks to be in order. My advice to all of you other campers out there is as such, from my many past camping hiking experiences: always double check your gear, because as I have learned a well prepared camper is always a happy camper, my friends!

Loved the New Cast Iron Pan for Camping Hiking

http://www.campinghikinggearblog.com/2010/March/Loved-the-New-Cast-Iron-Pan-for-Camping-Hiking.htm

We just got back from our spring camping hiking trip in the Sonoran desert and we had such a great time. Between the hiking and gathering firewood, we all got good workouts which meant that we were able to eat a great deal. I brought along our new cast iron frying pan and used it for all our meals. We had grilled cheese sandwiches with tomato soup, fried potatoes and bacon for breakfast, and chili for dinner one day using this new cast iron pan. It came preseasoned, so there was no need to prepare the pan for cooking before we left. I bought the Camp Chef 10'' Seasoned Cast Iron Skillet online at All Star Sports Outlet located at http://www.allstarsportsoutlet.com, a great site for outdoor sports and camping hiking.

Of all the activities we enjoy, camping hiking has to be at the top of the list. We camped in a nice campground that was primitive so we had to use our own resources and equipment for the entire camping trip. We had plenty of water along and fortunately, the weather cooperated so we were plenty warm during the day and the evenings were so pleasantly cool.

Since we have had so much rain this year, the landscape was verdant and lush and we took photo after photo on our camping hiking trip. The flowers are in bloom and the hillsides were just covered with color mixed with the green trees and bushes. After our photo expeditions, we'd come back to camp and while everyone rested, I started the next meal using the Camp Chef pan. Just because we're camping hiking doesn't mean that we cut back on what I cook. Before we leave, I chop most of the fresh vegetables, pack frozen cuts of meat, and put dry ingredients in plastic bags so we can enjoy homemade cornbread, blueberry muffins, vegetable soup, and all kinds of other goodies while we're camping hiking.

All in all, I liked our new cast iron pan. It did a fine job making everything I wanted to cook, so I thought I might go back and order one for the kitchen. I like to keep our camping hiking gear packed up in the garage and don't like to use any of it in the house. It makes going camping hiking so much easier to have everything ready to go instead of sorting through the kitchen to see what I need to take camping to cook our meals. We love fresh, homemade meals when we're enjoying the great outdoors, and by keeping it all separate and organized, we're ready to go when we have a few days free and the whim hits us.

Not wanting to spend the money on a plane ticket or hotel reservations, the best way to clear my head is out under the stars. It has been very warm here in Southern California for a solid 5 days now. Warm enough to fire up the apartment air conditioning mid afternoon. I think it is time to get a couple of friends together, caravan out into the desert and pop the Coleman tent up in a desolate area with nearby trails and vantage points. Camping hiking and BBQing with a few guys and no roof over our heads is exactly the kind of weekend jaunt I’m looking for at the moment.

The weather is right, my Coleman tent is ready to stand up and camping sites are a half tank of gas away. One of my friends is always down for this sort of thing. He would pack the bags tomorrow if I called him. A few of the others have some pretty rigorous careers but with some coaxing, I can make it happen.

In fact, my brother Andrew is, I have a good mind to think, as fond of the camping hiking trips as I am, because he always coming with me and helping me to plan them out. There are so many camping hiking trips that we have planned for this year, that at the last count, I think there are about six or seven on the agenda so far. I am really looking forwards to the camping hiking trip that we have planned for the end of this month—where we are heading up to the White Mountains to really get away for four days of solitude and grace, where only the splendor and picturesque scenery can steal me away from the craziness of the hectic city in which I dwell (Phoenix, AZ). Indeed, if it were not for the camping hiking trips that I take so often, I think I might go stir crazy in this concrete jungle!

Old Man Winter has not given up his grip easily where I live but the forecast is heartening for those who are looking forward to the outdoor sport of fishing. I am one of those individuals who wait for the arrival of spring so I can wet a line and enjoy one of my favorite outdoor sport activities. the DNR has stocked many local lakes with rainbow and golden trout but the lakes have a covering of ice. Normally this would not stop the outdoor sport of trout fishing but the problem is the ice is not thick enough to safely walk on so no fishing is allowed. Until the ice melts those who are outdoor sport fishing fanatics, like myself, can only wait until the weather warms up and melts the ice. Thankfully this should happen by the middle of next week according to the weather forecast, so I am planning on my first day of trout fishing for this coming Wensday or Thursday. I have been preparing my fishing reels, tackle, and other gear so I will be ready to go.

As a teenager in the "Great North", I often went on many outdoor sport adventures with my rifle, fishing pole and my Coleman tent. Camping hiking up there is world renowned, and the wildlife are very abundant. On one of my many adventures, I hiked up to a place called Eklutna Falls where I fished and hunted all summer. My mom worried the first couple of times when I would disappear, only leaving a note for an explanation. But after she knew that I knew what I was doing, she actually encouraged my adventures; and loved to hear my stories on my return.

My mother always told me to take pen and paper with me and write down my thoughts. I have been working very hard this last year, and I desperately needed a vacation that would take my mind off of every day life. I was online looking at blogs of good outdoor sport vacations to go on when I saw a post that caught my eye, and my adrenaline junkie mind.

The post was about para gliding in the mountains of Peru. There was even a link that I hit that allowed me to visit an outdoor sport adventure website that specializes in para gliding adventures in Peru. I read the intro, and immediately my interests were peaked. This vacation would be one for the ages!

My vacation was absolutely awesome!. I was able to soar through the air on the thermal currents with the native birds of Peru. The people and places that I talked to and saw, will be forever etched in my mind. I have decided to take my father with me next year, as he is an adrenaline junkie like me!

Shopping for Computer Backpack that Can Safely Tote my Laptop When Skateboarding

http://www.campinghikinggearblog.com/2010/February/Shopping-for-Computer-Backpack-that-Can-Safely-Tote-my-Laptop-When-Skateboarding-.htm

I have really gotten back into the wonderful sport of skateboarding after a nearly five year absence of it following my high school days, when I got really caught up in my college endeavors. However, now that I find myself back into the sport full time again, and skating away the day on many weekends, there are some accessories that I find myself seeking that can protect my laptop – which I take with me everywhere – while I am skating. So not only do I need to find a computer backpack that can safely house my notebook computer, but the laptop backpack also has to have plenty of room to carry around my skating gear, like my helmet and pads, and other accessories that I like to have handy when riding out during the weekends with my best friends. Needless to say that I am not just looking for any laptop backpack, I am looking for a really sturdy laptop backpack that will not let me down, and that will allow for me to take my computer with me so that when I am done skating for the day, I can easily relax at a nearby café and get some work done while cooling off and grabbing an ice cold drink.

I started my searching online today, looking all over the web for different deals online on laptop backpacks, and I was a bit skeptical at first that I would be able to find a laptop backpack that would suit my rather lengthy laundry list of needs. However, online shopping once again proves to save the day, especially this time around, where a cool online store that I found yielded to me a great deal on a cool looking laptop backpack that could just suit my needs perfectly! The laptop backpack that I currently have my eyes on is this rugged and durable Mobile Edge Premium Backpack - Backpack - Backpack - 9" x 21" x 16" - Ballistic Nylon - Charcoal, Black. With the handy chest straps, I know that my notebook computer will be safely stored and sound while I am riding, and this backpack is made from quality materials so it should easily withstand the test of time. Even better, I was able to find this awesome backpack at a great online store today for quite the value when I found it for sale at a store called All Star Sports Outlet, which is located online at: http://www.allstarsportsoutlet.com.

Using Garmin for Camping Hiking in Western Canada

http://www.campinghikinggearblog.com/2010/February/Using-Garmin-for-Camping-Hiking-in-Western-Canada.htm

This summer is going to be so exciting for us. We are taking a month off and heading to Canada to see that magnificent country and today I found a wonderful tool that will help us navigate with our Garmin GPS when we're camping hiking through Canada. This works with our Garmin GPS unit, the Colorado, and I'm glad I found this online for our computer and Garmin GPS so we can plan our trips around western Canada. Growing up in North Dakota, we went to Manitoba frequently to visit Winnepeg and always enjoyed ourselves immensely. That was before we had learned about camping hiking, otherwise I'm sure our parents would have planned those kinds of vacations for us instead of the hotels and motels that we stayed at. We walked around a lot and enjoyed the architecture of that city.

We are grown up now and enjoy camping hiking as our favorite way to take a vacation. In fact, hiking is our favorite outdoor sport so the prospect of seeing the parks in western Canada on our own two feet is something we are really anticipating. Getting the Topo Canada CD will let us take the next few months to plan our trip so we take advantage of every day we have while we are up there. We know already that we are going to start our trip in New Mexico so we can follow the entire range of the Rockies from start to finish up in Canada. It's going to be quite the trip and we will photo document the entire thing. We are bringing our laptop along and hopefully I won't forget the new computer backpack I bought specially for this trip. I found this topo at All Star Sports Outlet located at http://www.allstarsportsoutlet.com, a site that we buy lots of our outdoor gear from.

We'll spend three to four nights at a stretch camping hiking and the rest of the time in hotels, hostels, or motels so we don't burn ourselves out by experiencing too much of a good thing. We want to have fun, and there are so many interesting points of interest in western Canada. We are looking forward to seeing Banff, Canada, and the national park there. My folks took a trip there many years ago and we still admire the gorgeous scenery they captured on film. We will also see Glacier Park and Jasper, too, so using the Garmin GPS to get around all those places, find lodgings and campgrounds will be easy with our Garmin GPS and laptop computer.

Another big benefit of spending a month in Canada camping hiking through the western part is getting out of the incredibly hot weather in Phoenix in July. The humidity starts to roll in during July and the days are still quite long, so we elected to save up all our vacation time and money and spend it on this adventure, whose memories will undoubtedly last us a lifetime. Camping hiking is one of the best ways to see places because we can get deep into the mountains to see what is invisible from the road.

There can be nothing more invaluable then a computer backpack when it comes taking the laptop from place to place. I don’t know about you but my hard drive is stocked full with my life’s collection of music. It honestly means the world to me. Losing it would flip my world upside down so the day I got my laptop in the mail, I clicked buy on a sturdy heavily padded computer backpack from a favorite online retailer. As planned, it has come in handy on numerous occasions. The most recent occurred when I was making a trip down south about 50 miles to visit a friend. I brought my laptop to show off some new pictures and music acquired in the weeks since I’d seen him last.

At about 7pm, after traffic had gotten a little lighter I hit the road. Rain was coming down steady and hard as what newscasters called the second round of winter storms was in full swing. After getting there, I ran as fast as possible through the apartment parking lot, laptop backpack tight ot my back, slipped and went down on the slippery concrete pathway. The laptop backpack kept my hands free to save the fall and computer.

Coleman Tent Back in Closet After Rainout

http://www.campinghikinggearblog.com/2010/February/Coleman-Tent-Back-in-Closet-After-Rainout.htm

I got a call from a friend on Monday who basically said they are going camping hiking and shooting in a desert about two hours east of the city and I was coming along. Not really knowing what to say I agreed but on the condition that I could get work off. It turns out after a scheduling conflict I couldn’t go along with them and in turn solemnly put the Coleman tent back in the closet. At this point, I didn’t have the heart to tell him. Fast forward to this morning and the weather report is forecasting heavy rain on Saturday, the day they are all leaving. It looks like on account of Mother Nature there isn’t going to be any camping hiking or shooting.

Being caught in a rainstorm can be fun while out in the woods or desert but more times then not it just slops the scene up and is especially terrible without a rain jacket or change of clothes. There is nothing like being consistently damp for 24 hours straight. Looks like me buddy will never have to know I couldn’t have gone along in the first place, after all I have the Coleman tent.

Hand Wipes Will Increase Success in Outdoor Sport of Fishing

http://www.campinghikinggearblog.com/2010/February/Hand-Wipes-Will-Increase-Success-in-Outdoor-Sport-of-Fishing.htm

I'm putting together a gift basket for my neighbors who love the outdoor sport of fishing and besides some lures and fishing line, I'm including several packets of these hand wipes that remove odors from hands. When they bait their hooks, they can wipe their hands off first, and possibly improve their luck catching some fish. My neighbors are here just in the winter and so far, their luck fishing has been limited because the waters are cold. Although the fish are out there, they don't bite as readily as they do in the hot summers.

The outdoor sport of fishing is such a fun one. They look forward to their winters in Phoenix for other outdoor sports, too, so I'm including a couple of cans of tennis balls, some sunscreen, small battery operated fans, and some snacks that are easy to take along on the trail or the boat. Of all the outdoor sports they enjoy, being on the water is their favorite. I've never gone fishing with them, so I don't know exactly why their catches are so slim, but maybe they spend more energy just drifting along in the boat, watching the gorgeous canyon scenery and occasional mountain goat or coyote instead of focusing on their fishing line.

It's my hope that my outdoor sport's gift basket for them will give them an edge on their fishing adventures. My brother also loves the outdoor sport of fishing, and unlike my neighbors, he's a master behind the fishing pole. I asked him last night when he was over what would constitute good things to put in a gift basket for them, and he recalled how much better his catch has been since using these hand wipes, he suggested that I buy these for them. They are the Baitmate Non-Scents Hand Cleaner & Odor Eliminator, and he said he uses them faithfully. There are 20 wipes in the package and he believed they do the trick to help him catch some incredible fish for excellent eating.

He found them for me at All Star Sports Outlet located at http://www.allstarsportsoutlet.com, where he orders them. He said given the cost of fresh fish in the market now, the few dollars that these cost are well worth it. I would have to agree. From time to time, he invites us over when he has had a really good day fishing, and there is nothing more delicious than freshly caught fish on the grill with fresh, homemade cole slaw. I hope that when I give my neighbors the outdoor sport's gift basket, that their luck will improve, they catch a lot, and holler over the fence for me to join them in an impromptu dinner of fresh fish.

I am sure that there are many of you readers out there who love outdoor sport camping, and I am one of them my friends! There are many aspects to outdoor sport camping that I really enjoy, like fishing, hiking and just enjoying the great outdoors. However, if I had to label one of my favorite things to do when outdoor sport camping it would easily be late at night, when my friends and I are gathered around the cozy and roaring campfire and I bust out my acoustic guitar and we start singing songs. Sometimes my band and I will go on outdoor sport camping trips just to try to see if we get any inspiration to write new tunes to add to our roster when deep in the outback. Not surprisingly, there actually have been some rather great tunes that we have penned when on outdoor sport camping trips that we later turned into songs that we added to our forthcoming albums, and that were true fan pleasers at live performances—again, thanks to those outdoor sport camping campfire song ballads, I have a few great tunes in my pocket!
